MUGS
My favorite things to make, mugs are little functional sculptures. Held in our hands and used often, certain mugs become special friends that we reach for every day. I pay careful attention to every detail so that each piece looks great, is well balanced, and comfortable to use. My handles are created using press molded, wheel thrown, cast and slab elements. Each piece requires a lot of tooling to ensure that it feels like your favorite pair of jeans... but in your hand, full of good coffee. My mugs are wheel thrown and hand built using an iron rich stoneware, fired to 2185 degrees (f).
If you see something you want, but it's not posted in the online shop, send me a screen shot and/or description and I'll add it to my list of things to make. Turn around for custom orders is typically 4-6 weeks. Everything is handmade and will vary slightly in size & shape.
