Clear glaze seals over the incised crackle slip, resulting in a fully functional dinner plate. Abraded orange and green slips at the rim (sealed with food safe Liquid Quartz), blue at the foot well. Random crackle fissures interact with the precise lines make for an interesting juxtapostion. Approx. 11 in. accross.

All of my work that features crackle slip is priced a bit higher than other pieces… it requires extra steps, and an extra firing. There is also substantial time involved with creating the imagery. Plates are wheel thrown and trimmed

*Although rare, heating in microwave for long periods may result in uneven temps and result in cracking. 20-30 seconds to reheat your sticky bun is totally fine, though I wouldn't recommend using this plate to "cook" food in a microwave.
